The birth of MoroccoPens …

Agadir, Morocco,

First of all, I would like to express my great gratitude to all our loyal readers, writers, and teachers who have been encouraging us. Without all of you, the Magazine wouldn’t have attained the views that it has reached so far  in a very short period of time.

Not long ago, Aziz Janal, a committed, hardworking, and a dear friend of mine, urged me to launch a new English web Magazine. His passion for learning and his amazing specialty in the sphere of Technology have always given me several pats on my back. That for me inspired me enough to embark on this new, exciting venture.

With the birth of Morocco Pens, so many teachers, friends, and students have asked me about the goal of the English Magazine. To all of them I say that we want to share different viewpoints and improve the writing competence. Most importantly, we want to make reading enjoyable among Moroccan students, especially among University ones since they have shown apathy towards reading.

I feel like it is my duty to encourage everyone to take this adventure of writing and put pen onto paper. No one was born great. The only secret to produce good pieces of writing is READING. It has been two years now since I had the chance to meet one of the great Moroccan writers Omar Bihmidine. I asked him about the secret of being a writer. “In case you aspire to become a writer or a poet, bear in mind writing is like a revolver; if it is not loaded, it can never fire,” he replied.
